National Parks & Reserves

Etosha National Park

One of Africa's greatest wildlife spectacles. The vast Etosha Pan — a shimmering white salt flat visible from space — dominates the park. Waterholes along the pan's edge attract enormous concentrations of wildlife: elephants, black rhinos, lions, and cheetahs. Floodlit waterholes at rest camps offer 24-hour game viewing.

Namib-Naukluft National Park

Home to Sossusvlei — arguably the most photogenic place on Earth. Towering red sand dunes (the world's highest) surround a white clay pan dotted with the skeletons of ancient camelthorn trees. Deadvlei's black trees against orange dunes and blue sky is an iconic image of Africa.

Skeleton Coast National Park

Where the Namib Desert crashes into the Atlantic Ocean. Shipwrecks dot the coastline, Cape fur seal colonies number in the hundreds of thousands, and desert-adapted lions patrol the beaches. One of the most remote and hauntingly beautiful places on Earth.
