**Hwange Game Drive — Full Day Itinerary** ⏰ 05:30 — Pickup from Victoria Falls Very early departure for the 2-hour drive to Hwange National Park. Coffee and packed breakfast provided for the journey. ⏰ 07:30 — Arrive at Hwange Main Camp Zimbabwe's largest national park at 14,650km². Known for having one of Africa's highest concentrations of elephants and the famous Presidential Elephant Herd. ⏰ 08:00 — Morning Game Drive Enter through Main Camp gate into the heart of Hwange: • Visit Nyamandhlovu Pan — a pumped waterhole that attracts massive wildlife concentrations, especially in the dry season • Watch elephant herds (50-150 strong) arrive to drink — pure theatre as matriarchs lead their families across the open plains • Lion prides often positioned near waterholes waiting for prey • African wild dog (painted wolf) — Hwange is one of their last strongholds • Giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, kudu, sable antelope, and gemsbok ⏰ 10:30 — Tea Break at a Waterhole Mid-morning refreshments at a secluded waterhole hide. Watch wildlife come to drink while you enjoy your tea. ⏰ 11:00 — Continue Game Drive Drive to different pans (waterholes) — each has its own resident wildlife. Dopi Pan, Kennedy Pans, and Caterpillar Pan are all on the route. ⏰ 13:00 — Lunch at a Picnic Site Picnic lunch under thatched shade at one of Hwange's scenic rest camps. ⏰ 14:30 — Afternoon Game Drive The afternoon session focuses on predators becoming active as the day cools.
