**Lion Walk — Half Day Itinerary** ⏰ 06:00 — Pickup from Victoria Falls hotel/lodge Early start to meet the lions during their most active period. Light breakfast snack en route. ⏰ 06:30 — Arrive at Lion Encounter Sanctuary Welcome briefing by experienced handlers. Learn about the African Lion Rehabilitation & Release into the Wild Program. Understand lion behaviour, safety protocols, and the conservation mission. ⏰ 07:00 — Meet the Lions Introduction to the lions you'll be walking with. These are young lions (12-18 months) in the critical stage of the release program where they learn to hunt and navigate the bush. No leashes — you walk freely alongside them. ⏰ 07:15 — The Walk Begins Set off into the bush on foot. Walk alongside the lions as they explore, stalk, and play. Your handlers and guide will position you for incredible photo opportunities. Experience: • Walking mere meters from wild lions with no barriers • Watching natural hunting instincts develop • Learning about lion social dynamics and communication • Understanding tracks, scent-marking, and territorial behavior ⏰ 08:30 — Bush Breakfast Return to camp for a hearty cooked breakfast. Eggs, bacon, toast, fresh fruit, coffee, and juice. ⏰ 09:00 — Conservation Talk & Lion Viewing Interactive session on African lion conservation. Learn about the threats facing wild lions and how the release program works. Observe the lions interacting with each other in their natural enclosure. ⏰ 09:30 — Return Transfer Drive back to Victoria Falls, arriving by 10:00. 📌 Important: No children under 14. No pregnant women. Closed shoes required. No loose flowing clothing. Cameras permitted (no flash).
