About This Tour
Walk alongside semi-habituated cheetahs through the African bush — a rare and breathtaking wildlife encounter.
**Cheetah Walk — Half Day Itinerary**
⏰ 06:30 — Pickup from Victoria Falls
Early collection to catch the cheetahs during their active morning period. Light snack provided.
⏰ 07:00 — Arrive at Cheetah Conservation Centre
Meet the team of wildlife conservationists dedicated to cheetah preservation. Orientation on cheetah behaviour, the center's breeding program, and safety protocols.
⏰ 07:30 — Meet the Cheetahs
Introduction to the ambassador cheetahs — captive-born animals that cannot be released into the wild and serve as educational ambassadors. Learn about:
• The difference between cheetahs, leopards, and jaguars
• Cheetah hunting strategies — the world's fastest land animal
• Why cheetahs are Africa's most endangered big cat
• The Amboseli Cheetah Project and local conservation
⏰ 08:00 — The Walk
Walk alongside these magnificent cats as they explore the bush. Unlike lions, cheetahs are diurnal (active during the day), so you'll see them at their most alert:
• Watch them scan the horizon from termite mounds
• Observe their incredible acceleration in short bursts during play
• Feel the tension in their bodies as they focus on distant prey
• Incredible close-up photography — cheetahs are naturally curious
⏰ 09:00 — Interaction & Photography Session
Sit with the cheetahs as your guide shares more about their individual personalities. The cheetahs often purr when relaxed — a sound you'll never forget.
⏰ 09:30 — Breakfast
Full breakfast served at the centre's bush café.
⏰ 10:30 — Return Transfer
Arrive back in Victoria Falls by 11:00.
📌 Includes: Transfers, guide, conservation fees, breakfast.
